(FSWMC) “De Dohti Business” Consultations – Online
Freetown Solid Waste Managment Company (FSWWMC)
FEBRUARY 17-18 2007
Engaging Civil Society – At Home and in the Diaspora Together
From any where in the world, in the comfort of your home and in smalls groups at a friend’s place, understand how viable and beneficial a Solid Waste Management Company |can be in providing Service for the Western Area of Sierra Leone.
We are building upon skills realized at the August 14th 2006 Town Hall meeting in which minimal technology was employed to bring in interests from afar.
This time, we will attempt a more dynamic approach that will pull from the resources of enterprising Sierra Leoneans that have helped to shape the .(dot)SL landscape; both in term of content and technology application. Participate to appreciate a new medium to network. For more information go to these portal sites: Http://SierraLeoneportal.net/community Http//Ermovement.org
Consultative processes are the means by which citizens can state their expectations within a democracy. It is the opportunity to structure our different knowledge and positions on an issue and at the same time facilitate the work of the decision makers. Making uninformed or partisan-based decisions on the FSWMC is a disservice to the Western Area residents. We invite those with the requisite insight to NETWORK together to ensure FSWMC becomes a reality. The preparations for the proposed consultation within the next few weeks will keep the issue alive and the outcome will hopefully create the first Public-Private Partnership in Sierra Leone since the re-creation of Local Government councils in 2004.
